What you might expect in the first 4 years and beyond.
The timeline of your apprenticeship might go as follows:
Year 1
- Full-time off-site at College
- NVQ Level 2
- Key Skills
- BTEC National Certificate
Year 2
- Then you'll move on to 'on-the-job' training at a local factory while continuing your studies on day or block release
- Completion of BTEC National Certificate/Diploma
- Departmental Placements across the business
- Training modules - both company and technology-specific
- Commence NVQ 3
Years 3 & 4
- On-the-job training within the business plus day/block release at College.
- BTEC Higher National Certificate available for those with academic ability
- Continuation of Departmental Placements around the business – including placements at other Unilever sites around the UK
- More company and technology-specific training modules
- Completion of NVQ 3
Post apprenticeship
Development plan continues, ensuring a career path is in place after completion of the programme.
