Business & Technology Management

This is a driving force of ours, not a support business area. It’s about increasing efficiency and bringing innovation to life. Improved operations, smarter systems, new possibilities. Central to everything we do, technology is propelling us into the future.
What will I be doing?
You’ll be collaborating to find ways we can get even more from our technology: across time-zones, business areas and world-leading brands. That might mean finding a way to facilitate communication across the globe, reducing security risks, or even developing a new system for freezing ice cream.
What do we look for?
You don’t need a technical degree to join Business & Technology Management. In fact, most of our graduates don’t have one. But a genuine passion for business processes and technology is a must. It takes a mix of insight and creative business thinking. If you’re excited by the most recent developments and think strategically about how their value can be harnessed, this is for you.
What will the programme involve?
You’ll take on a range of placements (between four and six in total), and will have the chance to work internationally at some point. You will have the opportunity to experience different areas, where you will get hands on experience with real problems that will be seriously stretching. From the Innovation team, working on the development of new capabilities to enable our business to win in the market, to Services, making sure existing capabilities run properly allowing Unilever to keep competing in the market. You’ll work in cross-functional and global teams and you will also have the opportunity to work in a business area for a period of time. You could be finding ways to save carbon dioxide by creating state-of-the-art systems, you could be collaborating with a digital agency to ensure a major website is running smoothly, or changing the way Magnum is stored to reduce its impact on the environment. First hand experience; it’s the fastest way to learn.
