We might be famous for our brands, but it’s our people who bring Unilever to life. Within HR you will help to create an environment where all of the people in our huge and varied culture can bring their range of skills and goals to best use: for us and for them.

What will I be doing?

Supporting the wellbeing and championing the success of the 167,000 people working for us worldwide. We need HR people who are insightful and inspired to help develop colleagues and the capabilities required for our winning business. Wherever you’re based in the business, you’ll have the chance to build up experience of culture change, employee relations, leadership development and much more. It’s all about shaping our organisation from within.

What do we look for?

People skills are essential, but those with genuine insight and creative minds do well, and, as you might expect, an interest in negotiation skills and influencing people also goes a long way. No specific degree is required.

What will the programme involve?

Three placements, including time at:

  • Head office

  • A factory

  • An expertise team, such as Reward, Learning & Development or Talent

There’s also scope for you to work as a site HR Manager, to take on international projects and shape future HR practices from within an expertise team. You will also be fully supported in studying for your Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).
