Unilever recognised for building equal and inclusive workplace
Unilever UK and Ireland has been recognised for its leadership in creating equal and inclusive workplaces for women at the Business in the Community (BITC) Workplace Gender Equality Awards and the Times Top 50 Employers for Women list.
At the BITC award ceremony, Unilever won the Female FTSE 100 Award, which is given to the organisation with the most women on its board as listed in the Female FTSE 100 Index published by Cranfield University School of Management.
Rachel Masters, Human Resources Director at Unilever UK and Ireland said: “We are thrilled to have won the Female FTSE 100 Award. As a business we are continuously striving to build an inclusive and gender-balanced organisation where all employees feel empowered and are given opportunities to thrive. We believe that a diverse workplace is not only important for the sustainability of the business but also, and more significantly, the wellbeing of all our employees.”

Unilever UK and Ireland also landed a place on the coveted Times Top 50 Employers for Women list. Organisations selected are marked against a framework for best practice and must showcase their internal processes and external activities delivered to promote gender equality, diversity and inclusion.
